Practice History

We are proud of our reputation as a trusted clinical minded practice. We are always investing in the latest technology to ensure the best patient care we can provide. We focus on the individual, ensuring we communicate with each patient to understand and meet their needs and ensuring they understand clearly their eyes and eye health and vision correction options.

This family-run, independent practice has been in existence since the 1940s, originally owned by Jimmy Rutter in conjunction with his pharmacy. Since then it has been owned by Bob Quin, John Morton, and Wendy and Andy Diddams.

Husband and wife team Lyndon and Elizabeth Taylor took over the practice in November 1986 and ran the practice until 2019. Ever since then, we have been proud to earn our reputation for providing excellent care and professional service to the local community.

Taylors Optometrists: About The Practice

In January 2012 we moved to our new custom designed premises on Dene Drive, a move which coincided with our 25th anniversary.

In 2019 Andrew Riley took over the running of the practice and has continued to invest in the latest technology and develop further the services the practice offers.

Throughout the years, we have ensured that we are offering the latest technology in eye examinations and providing the highest quality of patient care.
